The great deeds and contributions of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose are simply spectacular and mindboggling in number and importance, particularly in view of the fact that his public life spanned only 24 years (1921 – 1945).
Moreover, his overall 20 years in India(1921 – 1941) were interlaced with 12 jail terms (sometimes facing severe ill treatments) and one house internship involving a total period of about 7 years, more than 3 years of exile in Europe(1933 – 1936), and several instances of serious illness including undergoing major surgical operations.
